2020 Recap: Where We Have Been

2020: Where We Have Been

By Principal Broker, Josh Haselton

This past year came with challenges, uncertainty, and a kind of rewind back to a more simplistic life for many. It also came with hope, innovation, and opportunity. This is a recap of what has been happening in the world of Northern Den Realty; our little local real estate brokerage.

Market Conditions & Brokerage Sales: The real estate market has shown a very strong sellers’ market for quite some time in our region. Inventory Supply has been very low in many places. We believe we are also experiencing an increased demand for real estate because of increased mobility for many office-based careers due to COVID 19. This is bringing people to our area that can work from home and want to live the “Northern Michigan” lifestyle. These issues of low inventory and increased demand are also being inflamed by the increased costs of building materials & labor.

We have been grateful to serve our buyer and seller clients in this challenging market place and our high level of service has led to lots of happy clients. Buyer clients that purchased a home with our company appreciated our consistent communication during negotiations and transaction coordination. Listing clients that we served this past year have been consistently satisfied with our marketing techniques and knowledge of pricing and negotiation trends in this competitive market place.

We also saw an impressive increase of 50% in our gross volume brokerage sales from 2019. We were able to serve clients through $7.4 million dollars in closed real estate transactions.

Community Involvement: In 2020, we had the opportunity to continue our emphasis on community engagement in a number of ways. Our Neighborhood Watch” video series produced 20 new episodes showcasing some of the best local businesses and organizations in the region. We take great pleasure in having the opportunity to raise awareness of our local business community, one that we are so proud of.

We were also able to keep $2,525.00 in our community in the form of gift card giveaways on our monthly NDR Live “Hot Deal” Episodes that happen on the first Thursday of each month.

I wanted to give a special thank you to every local business and organization that took the time to speak with us during this past year. Supporting other local business is important for the organic growth of our community and a personal mission of Northern Den Realty. It means the world to us that you all took the time. THANK YOU! Services: We will continue to serve our clients all over the 7-county area of Northwest Michigan. We are proficient in all aspects of our regional real estate market, from the wide variety of price ranges, styles and construction grades. We serve both buying clients and listing clients. So, whether someone is wanting to purchase real estate or sell real estate they own, we are here to help.

Another service that we provide is helping new and seasoned Realtors grow their real estate businesses through one-on-one training and strategy / marketing sessions. We are very excited about the wealth of experience that we get from the seasoned agents we have built up over the last few years. Our service staff and Realtor partners have created a business “start-up” like atmosphere that brings together motivated entrepreneurs that foster a collaborative work environment.

Thank You: We thank you all for your continued support of Northern Den Realty! This past year will go down in history and we are happy to have had the opportunity to interact with you all during it.

ASK: If we can help you (or anyone you know) in preparing to buy or sell real estate, please give us a call! We are also looking to grow our roster of licensed Realtors in 2021 by partnering with highly motivated entrepreneurs. If you know anyone that is a self-starter, likes building relationships, is interested in learning, and looking for a career change – We would like to talk with them!

?

Good luck this year! We will see you in the neighborhood!

With Sincere Gratitude,

Josh Haselton
